Emerging from a winemaking family in Ribera del Duero, Alfredo Maestro grew up among the vines and began his career committed to making wines "by the book." As time went on, Alfredo pursued winemaking practices that reflected the organic nature of his vineyards by stripping the use of additives including sulfur.
Perdigon is a pet-nat made with 95% Pinot Noir and 5% Garnacha Tintorera (a Spanish variation of Grenache) and finishes fermentation in bottle, resting 9 months on the lees. Unfined, unfiltered, no sulfur added.
