“Wine made with only grapes, well-kept vineyards, and healthy land.” -AM
Emerging from a winemaking family in Ribera del Duero, Alfredo Maestro grew up among the vines and began his career committed to making wines "by the book." As time went on, Alfredo pursued winemaking practices that reflected the organic nature of his vineyards by stripping the use of additives including sulfur.
Lovamor is produced from 60-120 year old Albillo Mayor vines in the Ribera del Duero. The vineyard rests on clay-limestone soil and sits at 700 to 1000m elevation. With roughly one week of maceration on the skins, this wine ferments with wild yeasts in a steel vat before being raised in tank so that the winter temperature can clarify the wine naturally. Unfined, unfiltered, no sulphur added.
