Thomas-Labaille is an old school Sancerre producer in the famous Chavignol village, creating pure, artisanal wines. This wine is sourced from some of the oldest vines in Sancerre, around 80 years old and situated in the choicest sites of the steep Monts Damnes (the "damned mountain") vineyard.
The wine is fermented with native yeasts in fiberglass and cement tanks, aged on its lees in stainless steel tanks (with a small proportion of used barrel in some vintages) for four to six months and bottled without filtration.
